​AAMS hosts "The Circle of Life" (Cercle de Vie) Workshop with Isabelle Garceau November 2016

As a natural and creative facilitator who is passionate about humankind, Isabelle has created and collaborated on several personal development training programs and creative processes in both community and school settings. Having Native origins stemming from her Mother's side of the family, she always carried the fascination for native culture and spirituality.

​Through the years Isabelle's journey allowed her to re-connect the dots of her lost heritage through gatherings, ceremonies and elder's teachings. Isabelle founded Cercle de Vie as life asked of her and since then has witnessed the need for Children and Youth to benefit from the practical knowledge and wisdom of all natives of this land.

Recognizing the Circle of Life and the importance for us all to re-connect with and understand the responsibilities we have as brothers and sisters in relation to Mother Earth, Cercle De Vie has grown over the last three years to include a variety of workshops and celebrations.

Uniting the hearts of participants in schools and communities Cercle de Vie includes activities such as Crafts, Music, Drumming, Singing, Dancing and Sharing Circles.

In First Nations spirituality dwells simple but yet very deep teachings that can help us to re-learn how to live together in peace and harmony.

"The healing of our communities and societies starts with our children and if even a few of them can have a positive experience of the First Nations values and way of living, I believe many great things can come from it," states Isabelle. 

​Isabelle hopes to one day expand the offerings to include year round programming for teachers and principals to integrate these values and tools in order to better equip them with the ever changing needs of our children/youth by working together to provide more positive, healthy and nurturing learning environments.
