News and Reflections: "Acadians in Maryland" sign, dedicated on "Day of Commemoration of the Great Upheaval" -- September 8, 2022

Princess Anne, Maryland, was the first Maryland town to recognize formally the history of Acadians in Maryland (see: https://acadianswerehere.org/index.html)
following their expulsion from Nova Scotia, Canada in 1755.  The official dedication of the "Acadians in Maryland" sign (see: https://acadianswerehere.org/acadians-in-princess-anne-and-snow-hill.html) took place on July 28, 2013 – the "Day of Commemoration of the Great Upheaval."
